That Geezer are committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:

  • Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
  • Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power requirement.
  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.
  • Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
  • Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully. We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future after our standard progressing emails unless you have given us your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future. The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • eMail Address

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent and adhere to the Data Protection Act 1998. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. Our Guarantee

What the guarantee covers.

  1. The back light failing on the screen.
  2. The screen forming banding horizontal or vertical lines.
  3. The screen developing faulty pixels (five or more).

All special order screens have a 15.00 cancellation fee if cancelled after the one hour cooling off period.

What the guarantee does not cover.

  1. If the screen is cracked or physically damaged.
  2. If the laptop shows signs of misuse causing the problem.
  3. Liquid spillage.
  4. Water ingress.
  5. Inverter failure.
  6. Motherboard failure.
  7. Hard drive failure.
  8. RAM failure.

Where are the repairs done?

All repairs under our guarantee are done at head office and are required to be delivered at an pre-arranged date, we can arrange this for you at the cost of 24.99 or you are welcome to use your own carrier, although we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage by any carrier you use. We will send the laptop back to you and you will not pay a penny for the repair or the return carrier if the screen is found to be faulty and not your fault.

On site visits, what are my rights?

We check the laptop, netbook or notebook with each customer before we leave and they sign to say they are happy with the screen, please ensure you complete this check with the technician at the time if you feel the screen is not right then tell us there and then.

If you are not happy with it after this time then please contact us and arrange a time for the laptop to be sent to head office.

If the screen is found to be functioning correctly and is what the customer signed for the customer will be charged a 50.00 handling charge and the laptop returned at the cost of 24.99, if not then the customer will only be charged the carrier fee.

If I buy just a screen, what are my rights?

If you provide us with a part number this is not enough, we have screens in the market with the same part number but are physically different, we would need a picture of the screen to cover all eventualities. If you order a screen in error you must return it in the original packaging within 14 days, after this no refunds are given. If the screen is found to be incorrect and we have sent the wrong screen after receiving your picture then we will refund the full cost and the postage. If however you never provided a photo and the screen is found to be incorrect we will only refund the screen cost as long as it is returned in the 14 days in the original packaging. We offer no guarantees on sales for just screens, we accept no responsibility for damage in transport or in fitting your own screen under any circumstance.

If your screen fails outside of the one year guarantee we will offer you a 10% discount on a new screen and the free gift.

Technicians

Our technicians are fully trained and checked this includes:

  1. A face to face interview.
  2. Demonstrations of their ability.
  3. Training given where necessary.
  4. Access to company manuals and literature.
  5. Full backup from head office during the course of all repairs.

Our technicians will never need to access your data, they only need to turn the laptop on to verify the screen is functioning correctly.

The data will not be approached in any way, under any circumstance.

The laptops are not removed from your premises under our We come to you service they are done onsite and no access to any network will be required to test the laptop, we just turn the laptop on and test the screen we are not responsible for any software issues you have. We will however offer any assistance and advice if needed.

The repair process

We come to you.

  1. You receive the quote by email or over the phone.
  2. You accept the quote.
  3. You use the link in the email to request your repair or telephone us.
  4. We confirm this order by email.
  5. We call you 2-3 hours before the repair to confirm.
  6. We repair the laptop.
  7. You to sign to say you are happy.
  8. You pay.
  9. We will provide you with a receipt.
  10. We will send you an email with the official invoice.
  11. You can leave feedback about your experience.
  12. If you have provided us with the incorrect information you may be charge a 60.00 call out fee.

You come to us.

  1. You receive the quote by email or over the phone.
  2. You accept the quote.
  3. You use the link in the email to request your repair or telephone us.
  4. We confirm this order by email.
  5. You come to one of our branches and drop the laptop off.
  6. You can return to the branch at the specified time.
  7. We repair the laptop.
  8. You to sign to say you are happy.
  9. You pay.
  10. We will provide you with a receipt.
  11. We will send you an email with the official invoice.
  12. You can leave feedback about your experience.

You send to us.

  1. You receive the quote by email or over the phone.
  2. You accept the quote.
  3. You use the link in the email to request your repair or telephone us.

  5. You send the laptop to head office our address can be found here.
  6. We repair the laptop.
  7. You pay.
  8. We send you the laptop the laptop back the same day.
  9. We will provide you with a receipt in the box.
  10. We will send you an email with the official invoice.

All reports of damage or none functioning laptops / screens must be reported in 24 hours of you receiving the laptop back. We only replace the screen and this cannot cause your laptop to fail in any other way. It does not even know there is a new screen in the laptop.
